Recording: from rage to remedy

Australia’s current economic and political context has moved us into new territory, with increasing levels of disaffection giving rise to the increasing salience of populist, far-right political positions.

At this inflection point, rather than following the path towards anti-democratic interests, what if we addressed underlying discontent by building a more optimistic politics and vision of what Australia could be, one we could all be connected to and part of?

To explore this question, Mannifera recently hosted a Think Table discussion with Thomas Mayo, Zoe Daniel and Kos Samaras, who shared their insights on the political moment we are in, and what it means for the resilience of Australia’s democracy.
