Mannifera members magnify their impact through the power of collective giving. They also benefit from opportunities to connect with and learn from one another, as well as our network of civil society and First Nations-led partners across Australia.
Mannifera also welcomes co-funding from non-member funders.
Our members come from across the philanthropic ecosystem in Australia and include private ancillary funds, fundholders within public ancillary funds, charitable trusts and individuals.
Contributions begin at $65,000 per annum, with a minimum three-year commitment. These contributions go towards our pooled fund and support Mannifera’s operating costs.
Members amplify their impact through our pooled fund, and benefit from the research, due diligence and administration carried out by Mannifera staff. Through joining, members also gain access to a community of values-aligned funders and our network of civil society and First Nations leaders. Additionally, members benefit from regular learning and networking events, deepening their expertise in democracy and economic issues and in philanthropic best practice.
Mannifera benefits from the participation and collective wisdom of our members, although we recognise that capacities vary and not all members can contribute equally at all times. Members engage in strategic and funding decisions at key points throughout the year, while Mannifera staff carry out due diligence and administration on behalf of the collective. Staff also coordinate regular learning and networking events for members to attend in line with their availability.
Please contact tambelin@mannifera.org.au and we will arrange a time for a call with you.
If you are interested in co-funding alongside the Mannifera membership please complete this expression of interest form or contact tambelin@mannifera.org.au.
Registered co-funders will be given access to the Mannifera funding docket in May each year (after our annual grantmaking ‘muster’) and invited to attend an online event where they can meet and ask questions of Mannifera members and our civil society partners. Co-funders will also be kept informed of other opportunities to connect with Mannifera members and partners throughout the year. Co-funders can choose to fund across all of Mannifera’s focus areas, or to allocate their funds to a particular area, like First Nations economic inclusion, or quality public debate.
Co-funders are encouraged to contribute a minimum of $5,000. For funders interested in co-funding $50,000 or more, Mannifera is open to exploring formal re-granting relationships on a case by case basis.
