Funding area: First Nations-led Economic Inclusion

Mirring Aboriginal Corporation (MAC) is an Aboriginal corporation based in New South Wales with a national membership. Mirring operates as a women, children and families centred organisation with a purpose to support, educate and provide a culturally safe environment to develop self-esteem, practise cultural ways and experience unconditional inclusion. Mirring’s plan for the future is to provide ongoing small business development education through a web-based platform that enables members to realise their vision for cultural safety, economic independence and personal success.

Grants

2023 First Nations-led Grant, $25,000

Indigenous Social Enterprise Development and Support

Recent circumstances have left Mirring without a permanent place to host their cultural education, health and wellbeing workshops, business development and large Aboriginal Women’s Issues summits and healing camps. In a COVID-normal context Mirring members have voted to move Mirring into a virtual presence through the development of a website.

In 2023, Mannifera contributed a grant of $25,000 towards the ongoing maintenance of their website by an Aboriginal small business, registered with Supply Nation.
